The Vale London is expanding its outdoor offering with six new fabrics featuring two of the brand’s most popular designs, Mighty Jungle and Menkaure.
Originally developed exclusively for interior upholstery and drapery, both patterns are now being introduced on an outdoor-quality base cloth in their existing colourways. The launch allows designers to carry The Vale London’s distinctive patterns from interior spaces onto terraces, pool decks, verandas, garden rooms and other outdoor living areas.
Mighty Jungle is available for outdoor use in Lagune, Autumn and Lilac. Alive with the flora and fauna of the Central American rainforest, the design is The Vale London’s modern interpretation of ancient Mesoamerican cave paintings. Influenced by the colour and diversity of Latin American art and Cubism, its scenes are contemporary originals filled with whimsical, far-flung folklore.
Menkaure is available for outdoor use in Dune, Palm Beach and Twinkle. The large-scale geometric design draws inspiration from the peaks of the Egyptian pyramids and the hieroglyphics carved within them. It is named after Menkaure, the ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty whose pyramid is the smallest of the three principal Pyramids of Giza.
Originally drawn in ink and saturated with water before being translated into a digital print, Menkaure has a softness and movement that balances its bold geometric form. The result is a highly liveable pattern that works across both interior and exterior spaces.
The six new prints join The Vale London’s existing outdoor collection, which includes Icarus and Helios.
Simple, timeless and elegant, Helios and Icarus are crafted from 100% Trevira CS and are available in four exclusive colourways: Claret, Olive, Truffle and Sky. Designed to withstand prolonged use and exposure to the elements, the fabric combines durability, UV resistance and inherent flame-retardant properties, with the flame resistance built directly into the fibre.
Helios and Icarus are also produced using environmentally conscious processes and materials, including recycled content. Machine washable and resistant to shrinkage, they offer a practical, easy-care solution for a wide range of residential and commercial applications while retaining their appearance and performance over time.
